Tinsmithing & Coppersmithing
Robert Fuller

Creating handmade items using tinplate, copper, brass and iron.
As a seventh-generation metalworker and practicing for 46 years, I’m proud to carry on a family tradition that started way back in 1787 when my ancestor began his apprenticeship as a brazier.
The business I run today was established in 1892 as J Fuller, and in 1947, we became J Fuller & Sons Ltd. We primarily produced catering and beekeeping equipment for many years, but that came to a halt a few years ago. Now, my focus is on championing endangered crafts.
I’m also heavily involved in craft fairs. At these fairs, I love to do demonstrations of tinsmithing and display some of my creations.
My product lineup includes tin and copper cups and mugs, kitchen storage containers, lanterns, watering cans, bookmarks, and lovely copper roses.
I also provide repair services for copper, brass, and tinplate items, and I’m more than happy to take on custom orders!
